Kim Schmitz 'Dotcom' awaits extradition

Kim Schmitz 'Dotcom' Awaits Extradition

Kim Schmitz, better known as ‘Dotcom‘, awaits his extradition to be held next August, according to TorrentFreak, the auction ended a few days ago and the domain in question did not belong to Megaupload, and it was not attempted to sell it to the company.

The plans of the new domain owner are still unknown, although it would not be unreasonable to think that the owner could launch some kind of service related to the exchange of files or content via streaming. For now the page only contains advertising.

U.S. wants judge to ‘Dotcom’ and his partners for their management of the platform Megaupload for violating copyright, committing crimes of hacking, organized crime and money laundering.

The U.S. government accuses the download portal of intellectual property damage exceeding $ 500 million (374 million euros) and of having illegally obtained an income of over $ 175 million (131 million euros).

The New Zealand court has been quite flexible with the german Kim Schmitz. A judge has allowed him to access the Internet, make a record and use a pool that is close to his current address. But ‘Dotcom’ is still awaiting extradition to stand a trial in the U.S. (ARL)
