Mobile hospital of IESS delay its attention for lack of additional works

The Army mobile hospital is ready in the rear parking lot of the IESS hospital Teodoro Maldonado Carbo, but additional works are still needed to enable it to start its operation. On February 19 a group of seven masons began casting of a concrete walkway of one hundred meters that will link the Emergency roomwith the parking lot, where there are eleven trucks and military tents in which middle-aged patients and of low complexity will be assisted, who are transferred by the triage system.

The construction of the concrete road, according to its builders, will be ready in a few days. There, besides the transfer of patients, by walk or in wheelchairswill be provided, the transfer of stretchers during the day and night is also expected.

For this, it was considered essential that the floor is completely smooth, and in addition, the place has is covered and has luminaires due to the rainy season, which will extend until May.

IESS Hospital officials have not yet defined the date the mobile hospital will operate because, according to sources, it all depends on the completion of theadditional works.
