More personnel and local materials for the construction sector

The construction sector sees in the Public – Private Partnership bill a business option. By the economic crisis works in the sector are down and as a result the demand for labor has been negative for eight months this year; in August it was -2.3% (latest figure available), according to the monthly survey of Entrepreneurial Opinion, of the Central Bank of Ecuador (BCE for its Spanish acronym).
To this is added the volume of construction, which has been negative for four consecutive months since May, thus, works in August fell by by 1.8%. Therefore the Ecuadorian Federation of Chambers of Construction (FECC) seeks to invigorate the sector and sees that option in the Public -Private Partnership (APP) bill, that is why it sent to the National Assembly its suggestions.
