Moroccan Player Ends Soccer Match with Broken Face

Mehdi Carcela, soccer player for the Standard Liege, ended the last game of the day with several fractures on his face, after receiving a kick from the French player Chrys Mavinga from the team Genk.

Carcela will be in surgery next week, after the kick in the face he lost consciousness, but regain his speech recently. Trainer Guy Namurois is calmer since Mehdi can speak again.

During the minute 28 of the match between the Genk and the Standard, Mavinga accidently kicked Carcela’s face. Afterwards the game ended with a tie and the Genk was proclaimed champion of the Belgian soccer league.
