The DT of the Real Madrid, the Portuguese José Mourinho, in an interview in the RTP of his country, expressed his disagreement with the choice of best coach of the year by FIFA.
“I’m not sorry for not going, at all. One, two or three people called me to tell me that they voted for me and it turns out that the name of another person appeared in their votes. So I decided not to go”.
The highest body of world soccer, after a consultation from the own RTP, responded: “We confirm that the vote posted on the FIFA list is correct”.
On the other hand, the Spaniards have come out in defense of the Basque coach Vicente Del Bosque, awarded with the prize of FIFA’s best coach. Antonio Maceda, former Real Madrid, said: “it seems amazing to me that a Real Madrid coach, one with his prestige, can say nonsense things like that”, he said.
Maceda, also believes that Del Bosque will not respond. “Vincente is a gentleman and has always shown that. Therefore, is normal not saying anything because there is nothing to say to a ridiculous thing like that.”he added.
Sergio Busquets and Javi Martínez said the Award to Del Bosque is well deserved.
