Municipality of Guayaquil presented its agenda for October

The events will be held during the month of October for the commemoration of the 193 years of independence of the city.

Among the events to be offered are three parades, art shows, retreats, serenades and concerts.

The festivities will begin on October 1 with a student artistic civic proclamation called “Guayaquil is my destiny,” phrase that is part of the tourist civic campaign which was presented on July  31 by Mayor Jaime Nebot and the Director of tourism and civic promotion, Gloria Gallardo Zavala.

In addition, on Wednesday, October 9 will be carried out the 18th student civic parade, that also will be named “Guayaquil is my destiny”, and will last for hours and is divided into three stages.

Other activities to be carried out is the first nautical parade in the Estero Salado which will last two hours and will start in the Portete Street and end at the 5 de Junio bridge, in this parade will participate seven allegorical boats, of which four will parade with the Queens of the mangroves.

On October 16, in the Centenario square sopranos like Beatriz Parra, Maritza Ortega, Astrid Achi, among others, will sing to Guayaquil.
