Nebot criticizes delay in the ballot count of Guayas
The mayor of Guayaquil, Jaime Nebot, questioned the National Electoral Council (CNE) for the delay in the counting of 25% of the remaining ballots in the province of Guayas, especially in Guayaquil.
According to him, these documents contain the neccesary number of votes for the Partido Social Cristiano (PSC) to get two more seats in the National Assembly.
“Why they have not entered the 25% of votes of Guayas and especially of Guayaquil, to the computation of national lists, while the lists of Pichincha have already been computed at 95% and other provinces, in a 100 %? … When that pending 25% is counted, which means a 1.5% contribution of national votes, the deputy of SUMA (Ramiro Aguilar) should disappear, “shouted Nebot.
During a radio interview, Nebot also highlighted the role of the PSC and Madera de Guerrero in the score of presidential candidate, Guillermo Lasso.
Nebot said that 11% of the vote in favor of the candidate of the CREO movement is part of the contribution of the Social Cristiano party, so he considers they were a great support in the election race and it was a good decision to support him. “I think we did not make a mistake supporting Guillermo Lasso. A gentleman, a man who agrees with us in his thesis.“
