Nebot insists on rhymes to refute the government
In this occasion he said, during a press conference: “Yesterday I saw the broadcast, it gave me more laughter than sorrow / Rafael appeared disguised of Miss Duarte / to lie to everyone until the last part. / On Sunday I’ll explain the deception and how we are going to get hurt / They’ll never be able to harm Guayaquil because this town is not dumb.”
Mayor Nebot thus replied the statements of the Minister of Transport, Maria de los Angeles Duarte, last Thursday night, in which she assured that the Government does not plan to take away the port of Guayaquil to build another between the parishes of Posorja (Guayaquil) and Chanduy (Santa Elena).
The announcement of the new work was announced by President Rafael Correa in the citizen broadcast of last Saturday, August 3, in which he proposed that the country’s ports should specialize in a product, which led Nebot to broadcast a video in which he warned that the city would be affected financially if, for example, bananas stop being exported through the local port.
Before last Tuesday, the mayor also used a rhyme to answer Correa on a possible support for a limitless term: “The president is affected, so he acts obfuscated / loudly he asked my replacement, but in vain / because Guayaquil wants its mayor. / There is no double standards, because this town is not dumb.”
