New Electric Consumption Rate Scheme for the Coast Region
Posted On 28 Jun 2011
Last Friday, the Ecuadorian National Electricity Council (Conelec) set a new rate scheme in which it was approved the new top of electric consumption so that the coast region users can keep the subsidy, but only in during winter time.
Coast people in residential sectors will stop perceiving this support gradually when if their consumption exceeds 700 kilowatt hours per month (kWh / m) between December and May, and not from 500 kWh / m as it was established for the rest of the country. The new values will be reflected in the electric bills of August. (BG)
