Newspaper Hoy faces unemployed strike
About an hour and a half members of newspaper Hoy met with Jaime Mantilla, current owner of the medium and also president of the Inter American Press Association (IAPA), indicating their contempt with wage delays and other legal violations.
After meeting with the journalists and staff from other areas, the employees returned to work despite not having any response to their complaints.
In the morning, the group of journalists from newspaper Hoy told the Andes agency about the members of the press that are tired of the delays of Mantilla.
“We have unpaid salaries for over a month. We live each month with promises that are not met. Did we eat that?” said a protester.
