No Water in Guayaquil

Due to the repair of a leaking 1,800 mm pipeline located in Block 1A Bastion Popular, there will be no water service from 20:00 (today) until 18:00 (tomorrow) to downtown areas, north and south of Guayaquil.

These are the areas that won’t have water in the north: Luis Vernaza, Kennedy Norte (from 2nd to 10th block), Bosques del Salado, Los Álamos, Ietel, Adace and La Herradura. La Alborada (since the 1st to 14th block); Los Sauces (from 1 to 9); La Garzota; Acuarela and Brisas del Río. won’t have water either.

In the downtown, there will be no water in the areas of: Cristo del Consuelo, hospital Luis Vernaza, Puerto Lisa, Batallón del Suburbio, Febres Cordero, Rocafuerte, Letamendi (La Chala), Assad Bucaram, el estero Salado, Barrio Lindo, Las Peñas,9 de Octubre, Los Laureles, Abel Gilbert, among others.

On the south side of the city, the affected areas are: Los Jazmines, Las Acacias, Floresta II, Universidad Agraria de Guayaquil, Luis Morejón, cdla. Guangala, 13 de Febrero, and others.

Areas Beata Mercedes Molina, Petrocomercial, la Cervecería Nacional, La Germania, Bellavista, la precoop. 2 de Octubre, and other cooperatives will lack the service too.
