The military managed to exceed 93% approval, followed by the president with 79% and the prosecutor Diana Salazar received 57.7% support, in the survey carried out until Thursday, February 22.

The president’s management in favor of security is what gives him a high acceptance rate according to the survey firm CEDATOS.
When reviewing Noboa’s credibility, Ángel Polibio Córdoba, president of Cedatos, indicated that 75.6% “do believe (in his word),” while 19% “do not believe.”
According to the newspaper La Hor a, the credibility of the president falls within the rural population of the country at 64.3%, while he is accompanied in a greater proportion by the population that lives in urban sectors at 78.3 %.
Government management
The president of Cedatos, when reviewing government management, indicated that security management indicators have allowed Daniel Noboa’s government to have a good result for citizens.
According to the survey, 55.6% of citizens consider that the country is on the “right path”, while 40.2% consider that it is “not on the right path”.
In the management of the government, with respect to the month of November 2023 when the president took office, 40% of Ecuadorians considered that the country was better, while in February 2024, 51% considered that it was doing better.
Those who consider that the country is the same in November 2023 were 40.6%, while this number fell to 27%.
Regarding the insecurity crisis, 85% of citizens consider that the government has handled the situation correctly and only 12.7% disapprove of the action.
Country problems
Córdova specified, also for La Hora, that the main problems that affect citizens in first place are: insecurity, crime and violence with 43%; unemployment with 20.2%; the economic crisis with 13.6%; corruption with 6.7%, drug trafficking with 5.8%, medical care, health and education with 4.7, while government management and political conflict registered 3.1%.
Institutions
The best rated institutions in the country were: the family with 97%, the Armed Forces with 93%, President Daniel Noboa with 79%, the National Police with 59% and the prosecutor Diana Salazar with 57.7%.
The work of the Prosecutor’s Office, following the results of the “Metastasis” case, allowed the institution’s approval level to be at 63.1%.
The National Assembly, for its part, is the least popular, with 41.3% approval, while 42.4% disapprove of parliament. The credibility of the assembly members is located at only 22.5% of citizens, while 62.8% do not believe in them.
