Number of earthquake victims in Ecuador increases at 525

The Attorney General´s Office of has recorded 525 fatalities from the earthquake. Of those bodies_ 518 have been identified and returned to their families 15 are unidentified and 11 foreigners have also been identified.
In a national address broadcast yesterday at noon, Minister of Defense Ricardo Patiño reported that the casualty figures after the 7.8M earthquake in the Ecuadorian Coastal area was 443 dead, 4,027 injured and 231 missing. That figure rose that night.
Minister Ricardo Patiño informed the public that from Sunday and Monday food and water were delivered to disaster areas. This after the earthquake that shook the country. From today staple goods will be delivered through the UPC (community police units).
