On Monday mayors of Guayaquil, Quito and the Prefect of Azuay will meet in Cuenca
On Monday, the mayors of the largest cities in the country, along with the prefect of Azuay will meet in Cuenca. It is planned to make a political statement on the situation in the country.
This meeting would not to be related directly or exclusively with the defense of municipal powers, but with general affairs.
The meeting led by Jaime Nebot (Guayaquil), Mauricio Rodas (Quito) and the prefect of Azuay, Paul Carrasco, have three axes related to the economic crisis, the situation of democracy and freedoms in the country.
Carrasco said, “Basically, we will touch issues of national character, against the centralist process and of social disorganization on the sectors.”
The appointment will be held from 10:00 at the premises of Mall del Río. First it is expected that Carrasco performs the accountability and then they proceed to a meeting between regional officials.
