Pending action plans in the CELAC after four years

Although the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) was founded four years ago, “it is just beginning” to implement its action plans, according to what Foreign Minister Ricardo Patino told to reporters last Friday said.
Tomorrow, Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa will deliver the presidency pro tempore of the CELAC to his counterpart from Dominican Republic, Danilo Medina, who will be the fifth leading politician in this block formed in late 2011.
That same day, the heads of state and delegates from the 33 member countries will hold a private meeting at the headquarters of the Union of South American Nations (Unasur) to analyze outstanding issues and achievements.
