Peru and Ecuador invest millions in border area
The foreign ministers of Peru and Ecuador invested $ 7,000 million in development projects in the border area of both nations. This was affirmed in Lima, between the foreign ministers Eda Rivas of Peru and Ecuador Ricardo Patino.
The ministers directed the XII Meeting of Peruvian-Ecuadorian Neighbourhood. The meeting lasted seven hours and finally ended with the signature of a bilateral agreement.
For his part, Foreign Minister Patino said “The joint and coordinated work produces extraordinary results. The issue that has to do with social security, health, electrification of border areas, the implementation of a permanent immigration status that unites us more and more, knowing that we are fully prepared to regularize the situation of our brothers on one side and across the border.”
Rivas explained that the topics covered were those related to the promotion of small and medium enterprises.
