Pop Art of Ecuadorian Marcos Ribadeneira
Models with colored wigs and contemporary dancers greeted the guests of the inauguration of the exhibition of Guayaquil artist Marcos Ribadeniera. “I am happy to pass on my art, which is something that I love. I rejoice when this work has the public acceptance,” said Marcos.
The NeoPopArt exhibition was held last Wednesday, 17th June at the Luis Noboa Naranjo Museum, and consists of 19 paintings, some made for the occasion and others that belong to private collections, such as Constance Baez´s, Miss Ecuador 2013, and Cecilia Niemes, who attended the evening. The event featured the musical intervention of Richie Swan.
Marcos Ribadeneira is a Guayaquil artist, influenced by Pop Art. The bright colors and curved lines stand out in his work, his technique is acrylic on canvas. A self-taught since childhood, who used to draw characters from TV shows or movies of the time.
