Pope Francis call the world to combat child abuse

Pope Francis
Last Sunday, douring a Mass celebrated in St. Peter´s Square, Pope Francis denounced the “abuses” committed against children around the world. Bergoglio did not specify whether he was referring to cases of pedophilia within the Catholic Church.
“I want to assure that they (victims of abuse) are present in my prayers, but I would also strongly emphasized that we must commit ourselves to all people, especially children, who are one of the most vulnerable groups, to be always protected and defended,” states the pontiff.
During the Mass, the Holy Father sent a “special greeting to the Meter association,” a religious NGO that fights against sexual, physical and psychological abuse, especially in children.
A month ago, Pope Francisco urged to fight “with determination” against pedophile priests.
