Portoviejo completely destroyed

Destroyed. This is the word that best describes the current situation of the capital of the province of Manabi. Collapsed buildings. Collapsed houses. It was a candlelight vigil. Most people did not sleep. And the few who did could rest with one eye open and one closed. The constant aftershocks of the greatest magnitude earthquake since 1979 impeded that Portoviejo people recover from the big fright. But light appeared in the middle of the darkness. A small naked and ashen body came out, but at first glance, intact. It was a girl, of about 4 years old, who was rescued from a prison of iron bars, pieces of cement and useless goods. When released she only moved her hand waving to the dozens of people who saw her rescue and could not believe the fact.
