President Lenin Moreno expresses his “solidarity with our brethren of Barcelona”

Ecuadorean President Lenin Moreno expressed his solidarity with our “brethren of Barcelona” in a message after the attack in the Spanish city perpetrated yesterday,  August 17, 2017, and added: “the Ecuadorian people are with you.”

“Only the education in ethical values, such as the immense respect for life and diversity around the world, can avoid execrable deeds like those carried out today,” said Moreno in a message on the social network Twitter.

Thirteen people were killed and at least 80 were injured in the terrorist attack when a van hit pedestrians in the most central and touristic area of the Spanish city. (I)
