President Moreno offers to endorse international credits for sectional governments

The highest representatives of the National Council of Rural Local Governments of Ecuador (Conagopare), the Association of Ecuadorian Municipalities (AME) and the Consortium of Autonomous Provincial Governments of Ecuador (Congope) met yesterday with President Lenin Moreno, in the Carondelet Palace to exchange proposals on development of sectional governments.
After welcoming them, the President said that they should also inform the Central Government about the needs of the people, in order to do a more coordinated work and solve the problems of Ecuadorians.
The meeting, that began at 11:00 yesterday, lasted for almost two hours. In the end, participants agreed that important commitments were made. Gustavo Baroja, governor of Pichincha and president of the Congope, indicated that the meeting with Moreno was helpful, as they put forward several ideas to guarantee the income generation. (I)
