President of the Court of Guayaquil was Removed from her Post

María Leonor Jiménez was ousted from office of President of the Court of Justice of Guayas. This morning she received this notification from the Transitional Judicial Council (TJC).
The CJT initiated administrative proceedings against the judge because she called “swallows” the judges that handled the trial of President Rafael Correa against El Universo Newspaper for alleged slander slanderous.
At a press conference this morning she said she will require legal action to rescind her departure from this position, for it is given by “a political decision.”
Jimenez described the measure as “a whim and a heresy.” “The president says all the time corrupt judges and no one even think on call him the attention. I say there are here swallow judges because it is true. “
In the afternoon, at around 16:30, her deputy Zoilo Lopez took office.
