Prince Albert Got Married and ended the Grimaldi Curse
Posted On 01 Jul 2011
Prince Albert II of Monaco and Charlene Wittstock of South Africa got married in a civil ceremony this afternoon, which was attended by the family and close friends of the couple.
At 18H00, the newlyweds greeted the people of Monaco that watched the marriage through giant screens placed outside the palace.
The celebration on the eve of the wedding began last night at the Luis II stadium, where the band The Eagles held a concert attended by more than 15,000 people.
Among the surprises and curiosities of this royal wedding will be the participation of tenor Andrea Bocceli and soprano Renée Fleming, while all the floral arrangements were created using Ecuadorian flowers. (BG)
