Proposal to Recall a President starts Wednesday
The amount of signatures to revoke the President of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, begins this Wednesday, Carlos Vera, said. This proposal is growing everywhere according him.
The signatures will be collected Quito and Guayaquil, and he expects two weeks to complete a first tour 24 provincial capitals of the country, said Vera, a political activist and former journalist.
Vera is optimist because a 40% of Ecuadoreans to support the lead according his last polls without starting formal campaign. “This confirms we observed in our own measurements and visits, people outraged is much more in number than intimidated people,” he added.
Vera and others must collect signatures 1.579 million as established by the Constitution adopted in September 2008, which promotes the finish of a Ecuador´s president through to revoke.
“It’s the first time Ecuadoreans are going to use this right time to tell a president who want to end his period before the end of the country,” said Vera.
