Quito’s airport is still causing problems for travelers

Posted On 06 Aug 2013

Since the construction of Quito’s new airport in the parish of Tababela, its users complain with stories of  labor delays or reschedules on important meetings due the constant suspensions or flight delays caused by severe weather factors.

That is the case of Juan Contreras, sales manager for a pharmaceutical company based in Guayaquil, who used to travel twice a week to Quito, but over the constant delays, decided to travel only once per week.

The flights from Quito to Guayaquil also have serious problems, so said Carlos Quiroz, executive of an agriculture business, who complains of flights that were delayed up to two hours.
