Radio Morena is Still on Air, but Tension Persists
Posted On 06 Jul 2012
Radio Morena said Friday in his Twitter account that the National Council of Radio and Television (Conartel) issued a closure order against them.
Assemblyman Luis Almeida called a press conference to announce that the Conartel has decided to withdraw the frequency of Radio Morena-FM (98.1 FM), which he owns.
Almeida told the media that representatives of Conartel were on their way to the radio in order to close it. Then a police squad came and warned that they were in the place just to check what was going on.
After noon, the radio posted on Twitter that “Radio Morena FM continues on air, live on our dial 98.1fm.” (FL)
