Rafael Correa, nine years of light and shadow
President Rafael Correa today celebrates nine years of having taken power and entered the final stage of hiss government.
Pursuing the pledge he made when he was still a candidate (“Let’s change everything”), Correa’s government has extended its interest to the most diverse areas.
The Constitution and a legal apparatus which includes a hundred laws; Justice and reform with the intervention of its delegates; economy, investment and a debt; international relations, that have reached important positions and criticism; education and health, areas in which hospitals and schools are portrayed as brand-new, but the systems and the staff are in constant observation; human rights, that are said to be vindicated and in constant violation; and communication, the most sensitive of his legacies.
