Registration of electric cookers users must wait until September
Posted On 04 Aug 2014
Dozens of customers from the Quito Electric Company (EEQ for its Spanish acronym) came on 1 August to the matrix agency located in the streets Mariana de Jesús and 10 de Agosto, in the north of Quito, to receive information about how to access the new induction cookers program. However, their concerns remained dissatisfied because the only answer they received was to come back in September.
This, despite the fact that the Government announced that the program would start in August, which seeks to replace gas cookers by electric induction cookers.
In addition, the mechanisms to access the funding of new appliances and the electricity subsidy are not yet ready. The website through which users can register is neither ready.
