Reik’s New Record is Dangerous
Posted On 13 Jun 2011
In their new album, “Peligro” (“Danger”), the Mexican trio Reik, dared to experiment with different genres, such as like electronic music.
“I don’t know what happened, but experience different sounds with influences that we had not tried before,” said lead singer Jesús Alberto Navarro.
“Everyone does Latin ballads and the most powerful rythms are heard in reggaeton and other urban rhythms. Suddenly we decided we had to play more,” said Jesus. “We’ve never been just ballads. We were embarrassed to be cataloged as ballad only singers, knowing that we are so young and that our music was not just that,” he added.
The fourth studio album by Reik will be on sale in July and is now available for pre-order.
