Roditti house remains in possession of the Banco del Pacifico after Correas offer was declared ineffective
Ecuadornews:
The old house of the Roditti family, located in Ceibos Norte, in Guayaquil, and that is in auction for an unpaid debt to the Banco del Pacifico, remains in the possession of said institution, having declared this Friday, April 5 as “ineffective” a stance for 240 thousand dollars, presented in the name of former president Rafael Correa.
On March 29, the same Judicial Unit of Guayaquil, had declared Correa’s position as “preferred” to acquire said asset, even though it had not recorded the value. The other bidder was Fausto Eloy Basantes, son of Fausto Basantes and Rosa Mireya Cárdenas (former guerrillas of Alfaro Vive Carajo), who also offered 240 thousand dollars for the good, without consigning them. The third, the Banco del Pacifico itself, which despite having consigned 238 thousand dollars, was placed in third place
On Friday, February 5, and after the media scandal caused by the publication of the facts on the website Mil Hojas, the Judicial Unit of Guayaquil has declared the positions of Correa and Basantes ineffective, and has qualified as only valid the one of the bank that is Topping the good.
Last Thursday, Rafael Correa reacted to the Mil Hojas article. Correa denied having participated in the auction and claimed to be a victim of identity theft. On Friday, the Judicial Unit of Guayaquil has also ordered to investigate the computer from which the name of Correa was inscribed in the auction.
The property is a house in Guayaquil that belonged to the Roditti Ortiz family, recently in the public eye for a viral video in which several of its members are seen brutally attacking a security guard. (I)
