The Simpsons banned from Russia
A new bill of child protection in Russia will begin this Saturday, September 8; which will censure United States cartoons, like The Simpsons. The director of the TV network 2×2, Lev Makarov, made the announcement.
“With the new bill, we won’t be able to broadcast cartoons like The Itchy and Scratchy Show that are a part of the animated series The Simpsons,” stated Lev Makarov.
Makarov also stated that South Park will be banned from Russian TV because of the many ways that the character Kenny is killed. The stated purpose of the bill is to protect the Russian children from violent and sexual cartoons. AV
