Russian wins second Pole World Cup
Recently, the second edition of the Pole World Cup, was carried out in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Representatives from 25 countries gathered to compete in this new sport, in both professional and amateur categories. Among the countries present, besides Brazil, were Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, USA, Russia, Argentina, Portugal, Germany, Australia, among others.
Anastasia Skukhtorova of Russia won the title of Pole World Champion.
“I loved this year’s competition; the level of discipline is very strict. They are all so strong, powerful and flexible, I think it must have been difficult for the judges to choose the winners, “said the winner.
The competition was divided in two categories: amateur and professional; national and international, and distributed $ 10,000 in prizes, besides those that were granted by the sponsors. This year the international Amateur category was introduced, in which six athletes competed. During the competition, workshops and conferences were open to the public with a prior registration.
