Members of the board of Management Unit of Public Law, represented by Pedro Delgado, informed that they knew about the alleged irregularities, but they made a “protection net” that favoured Gaston Duzac, so he receives a loan of $800,000 to buy the shares of Scanbuy, each was valued in $500.

The protection net prevented any type of denounce to the Financial Analysis Unit (UAF for its Spanish acronym) regarding this unusual and unjustified operation. The officer in charge of UAF, Gustavo Becerra along with the assemblymen Betty Amores (Ruptura), Cesar Montufar (Concertacion) and Pedro Paez (ID) delivered documents about this issue.

Amores said that its “incredible the level of cynicism of Pedro Delgado” who last Monday made a penal demand against Duzac, Scanbuy and all those involved in the loan. Meanwhile Montufar warned that this subject must be broken not by those who are the weakest, but from the “thinnest side,” referring to the cousin of the Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa.

On January 13 of 2012, the first report presented in a meeting of the Fulfilment Committee, where officer Becerra informed that the loan went to accounts of Duzac in Sweden and the United States. AV
