Sofía Espín and Norma Vallejo uncover new accusations
Ecuadornews:
The dismissal of Assembly members Sofia Espin (RC) and NormaVallejo (AP) uncovered new complaints against legislators and requests, such asthat of parliamentarian Marcela Aguiñaga, that “the bath of truth”must be done at all levels starting with the president of the Assembly,Elizabeth Cabezas.
Espin, in her last speech in the plenary, denounced that María José Carrión (AP) tried to reproach and stop an audit of the Superintendency of Companies to the company GEA, cited in the case of undue charges in the bank. She showed the document and rebuked the room that this is corruption.
Vallejo showed documents against Ana Galarza (CREO), in which she supposedly endorses with her signature the attendance record of her advisers Iván Mayorga and Carmen Alvarado Ulloa, signed by the same person; “It will not be that Mrs. Carmen Ulloa has not attended the functions for which the Assembly has hired her, and it will not be that the money assigned to this person goes into their pockets, we must investigate.”
She also asked if she does not attend work, how is it that she has more than 860 access records her magnetic card. What should be checked is whether the card is used by Galarza’s husband. She said that she will process this complaint and that he hoped that “the president of the Assembly, my partner in Alianza PAIS, will have her skirts properly fitted and that what I have made public will be left in the Office of the Prosecutor …”.
Galarza downplayed him and indicated that Vallejo wanted to create a smoke screen because she could not download all the elements that led to his dismissal. He described the complaint as ridiculous, and said that it is appropriate for the investigations to be carried out, since all married people have the right to be with their husbands.
He said that the departure of the two legislators is a start, but that is not enough, and that listening to Aguiñaga, who blamed other legislators, what you have to do is put the complaints in the CAL.
Doris Soliz (RC) claimed that the cases that were denounced against other legislators should be discussed, but that this is not done because they belong to the political stores of those who have dedicated themselves to persecution.
In the Assembly, the RC bloc disagrees with the other political forces that consider that it is not necessary to lift the parliamentary immunity of Sofia Espin.
Meanwhile, Ronny Aleaga, alternate assemblyman of Espin, announcedon Twitter that he will assume the functions of his dismissed co-op. “Iwill continue working with the same conviction as always; the CitizenRevolution maintains its seat because it will continue to be my fight flag,”he said.
