Wellwishers wait for news on the health former South African Presiden

Supporters of the former president of South Africa, Nelson Mandela remain in constant vigilance regarding the health of the former leader. Many are preparing to face the possible death, after learning his “critical” health condition during his stay in the Mediclinic Heart Hospital in Pretoria.

Hundreds of South Africans and tourists are concentrated outside the hospital where Mandela was admitted to pray and leave gifts as cards, letters, flowers, and balloons.

The family of the worldwide leader asked people and media to allowed him to face his illness in peace. His eldest daughter called for the respect of the privacy of his family and that ‘Madiba’ is allowed to face the moment of his death calmly.

“Give us the space to be with our father. He was away a very long time, so this is a very special and sacred moment for us, we hope that the world takes a step back.” she said.

Nelson Mandela has been hospitalized for 17 days. He has been admitted four times since December, most of them by the lung infections he has suffered for years and that are a consequence of his long imprisonment when we was fighting for social equality against racial segregation.
