Special protection for Correa has been denied

Interior Minister César Navas said this morning that there will be no special protection for former president Rafael Correa, denying the request of Assemblywoman Gabriela Rivadeneira to assign more security to the former president.
“He has a team assigned to his security by the Presidential Protection Service, it is security, we (Ministry of the Interior) must ensure that there is no alteration to public order and that the security of all Ecuadorians, as we always do, must be under control, “Navas said during the delivery of a new mobile police unit, which will provide service in Samanes Park, north of Guayaquil.
The minister indicated that he will be this afternoon in the extraordinary meeting of the political movement Alianza PAIS, convened by the President of the Republic, Lenin Moreno, made a call to the citizenship so that acts of violence do not occur, so that the public respects the order in benefit of everyone.
