Summary of the 5th Date National Football Championship
Yesterday afternoon, Club Sport Emelec won 2-1 at Independiente José Terán at the Capwell Stadium in Guayaquil.
Enner Valencia opened the scoring at the minute 31 after a pass from Paraguayan Fernando Giménez. Shortly before finishing the first half, Gabriel Achilier increased the score at minute 41. The Brazilian Otavio Ferreira scored at minute 86, which destabilized the security of the blue team.
On the other hand, Deportivo Quito got a goalless tie against Tecnico Universitario, adding only two points in five games placing last in the standings.
Macara meanwhile, beat El Nacional 2-0 at the Bellavista stadium in Ambato.
Jhonny Baldeon opened the scoring in the 28th minute of the half. But Juan Luis Anangono evened the score at minute 51 of the second half. The joy of National did not last ten minutes, because after 59 minutes, Baldeón scored again sentencing the party in favor of the Macara.
