Bashar al-Assad regime is crumbling
Syrian army defectors and rebel commanders residing in Turkey said this Thursday said that the bomb that killed three military top military officials in Damascus would only hasten the end of President Bashar al-Assad.
According to high-ranking army defectors this attack was a turning point in the 17-month-old uprising. Last night regime forces shelled their own capital to repel anti-Assad groups.
A security source informed that the person responsible for planting the bomb was a bodyguard entrusted with protecting the closest members of Assad’s circle.
According to Ahmad Zaidan, spokesman for the Higher Council of the Revolution’s Leadership, after the latest attack in Syria dozens of soldiers defected into Idlib province in the last few hours. (AV)
