Tame´s supply keeps shrinking
The state airline Tame is not the exception. The low passenger demand prompted the company to remove, since yesterday, the Latacunga-El Coca and El Coca-Latacunga routes. Last week, the same airline announced the closure of the route to the Jumandy airport, in Tena.
The suspension of the routes to the Amazon shows that flights to this region lost momentum in recent months. On December 22, for example, the last flight to the Jumandy International Airport was recorded, as published yesterday daily Expreso. Tame was the only airline that traveled to this place.
A revision to the figures of the company, until October 2015, shows the situation. In the expenditures category, the Amazon routes had substantial underspending. Of the $ 2.3 million allocated for Tame constructions in the area, only $ 433,171 were spent. 18.79% was used in ten months.
