The biggest Christmas tree in the city will be placed at the Malecon 2000
More than 20 meters high measures the Christmas tree placed on the semicircle of la Rotonda at the Malecon Simon Bolivar in Guayaquil. On November 28 the tree lights will officially be turn on from 18:00 to midnight.
The metal frame is lined with plastic branches which will be illuminated by 15,000 colored lights. Also, it will be decorated with garlands, balls, snowflakes and other accessories, besides a star of two-meter high hat will shine on the top of the tree and will be appreciated from the 9 de October Avenue.
The assembly of the giant tree will be carried out the Malecon 2000 foundation and financed by private companies at a cost of $ 150,000.
The tree will remain in place until January 6 of 2013, and will be accompanied by a nativity scene formed by characters of 1.80 meters, which were made by artisans of the city.
