The Cpccs rejected the challenge against the Attorney

The Council of Citizen Participation and Social Control (Cpccs for its Spanish acronym) rejected on January 26 the only challenge submitted within the process of designation of the General Attorney.
The objection was raised by Sohar Adonis Romero Crespo, against the candidate and current attorney, Diego García Carrión. The argument of the counselors that was the lacked foundation. According to the Cpccs, it was not declared admissible because it was “limited to recount events that are unrelated to the challenged”.
Following the adoption of the resolution, the parties will be notified of the decision and the process will continue. The next step will be the designation of the first authority of the Attorney.
