Yesterday, Robert Mueller, the FBI director, said that the authorities will be firm and will find Edward Snowden, to open legal proceedings against him for having leaked to the media the details of highly classified surveillance programs in United States.

Mueller confirmed that the FBI began a criminal investigation into the leaks, and suggested that public reports on the efforts of the Agency of National Security by reviewing phone books and the internet, were harmful to U.S. national security, since it was affected.

U.S. intelligence agents who are following the footsteps  of  Showden, told the ABC television network that there is fear that the young man intends to obtain asylum in China in Exchange for American secret information.

The authorities of the Chinese Government have chosen to remain silent on the issue.

The information discovered by Edward Snowden has opened a global debate on the violation of the individual rights of persons to whom The  United States security agencies spy on their emails and phone calls.
