The first media lab is created

An institutional control system is ready and it only awaits to begin its activities.
Yesterday, the Citizen Participation Council (CPC) approved the agreement to implement the laboratory that have the support of the Office of the Ombudsman and the Institute of Higher Studies (IAEN).
According to an extensive plenary meeting that approved it, which was attended by only four of seven members. This laboratory was developed as an index that technically determines the level of compliance and respect for human rights and communication of content transmitted on the media.
Part of the work of the laboratory is to make annual reports that occur on while monitoring the press to the Regulatory Council of Information and superintendent.
One of the articles of the agreement is that the laboratory should monitor media content in order to prevent, detect and stop messages that lead to violence, discrimination, racism, drug abuse, sexism and intolerance, among others.
The message was proposed by the spokeswoman Marcela Miranda and specifies that the Ombudsman and the Council will be responsible for “preparing an annual report on the findings of the laboratory, including recommendations” for regulation and control agencies.
