The new checking law is valid since Monday
Posted On 26 Sep 2014
From September 29 the new reforms to the Checking Act are effective.
Among the changes is the deadline for submission of payment, which will be within 20 days from the date of issue (in checks drawn on and payable in the country).
To fill the new checks it will only be permitted dark ink colors.
The date format to fill in the new checks must now maintain the order: year, month and day.
The new law also bans to place on the checks stamps or legends that condition the payment, except those established under the Checks Act.
Likewise, shape defects of those checks with stamped signature, with adhesive tape or corrugated material on figures of the money amount will be considered.
