The payroll published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its website indicates that this state agency employs 1,781 people. According to official data, 704 people work in the Ecuadorian offices abroad.
Stephania Baldeón Montesdeoca appears on this list as the second consul secretary at the Consulate of Ecuador in Los Angeles, United States. In late 2016 and early this year, she, along with Pamela Aguirre, formed the ‘Rafael Contigo Siempre’ collective, which collected signatures for the reelection of former president Rafael Correa in 2017. Aguirre is now an Andean parliamentary, after being elected in the February 2017 elections. (I)
