Posted On 14 Jul 2015
The price of a barrel of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for delivery in August, with a downward trend from the beginning of the month, lost 54 cents reaching $ 52.20 at the New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex).
A barrel of oil from the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) closed last week with an upward trend, to stand at $ 55.99, 0.81% less than the previous day, said the oil group based in Vienna.
Since mid-June, oil prices are under pressure due to various factors, which tend to expand over-supply versus weak demand. (I)
