United States authorities arrested the suspect in the murder of Ecuadorian Denisse Oleas, a crime that occurred in a hotel in the famous Manhattan neighborhood, in New York, at the beginning of February 2024.

The suspect, identified as Raad Almansoori, was arrested in Arizona on suspicion of attempted murder, aggravated assault and theft of transportation.

“He was arrested in Scottsdale, Arizona, accused of stabbing a woman who worked at a McDonald’s restaurant,” says the New York Times.

Additionally, Almansoori told police in Arizona that he had “hurt three more girls in Florida,” NYPD Chief of Detectives Joe Kenney said.

Almansoori was linked to Oleas’ murder because during his arrest he told police that “I should Google the SoHo 54 hotel. ” The Ecuadorian woman was found dead in that place.

During a press conference on February 20, the New York City Police Department said they were seeking to extradite and arrest Raad Almansoori, 26, for the February 8 death of Denisse Oleas-Arancibia, 38 years.

Almansoori has not yet been charged with the murder of the Ecuadorian woman.

A murdered mother

Oleas Arancibia, 38 years old, was the mother of two boys, one of them is 18 years old and lives in the United States.

The young man said in an interview in The Daily News that he saw his mother the day before the crime, when they were separated on a street in Queens County.

He said he made him breakfast and took him to a barbershop for a haircut.

“My mother worked very hard and always worked for us, to give us the best she could in this country,” the teenager told the newspaper, but did not indicate what his mother did.
