The Point

The official opening of The Point, a building that has 36 floors and 500 offices, will take place in the upcoming days, before the end of may, according to its constructors.

It will start activities along with other buildings which are also located in Ciudad del Río, in the North of Guayaquil, including Riverfront, a parking building; and the Wyndham hotel, whose rate is between $125 and $135 per night.

The Point infrastructure reaches 137 meters , and is estimated that from its total occupation will have between 1,500 and 2,000 people working every day, besides the external flow.

Sergio Torassa, CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of the Group Pronobis, who was commissioned to promote the construction, said that the building is operating with its air and electrical systems, elevators and basic services.

The building has been provided with six high-speed elevators, which would make possible the tour through 36 floors in 52 seconds, according to the tests. In respect to security, the infrastructure is anti-seismic and has internal stairs for evacuation.

When the construction of this building started it was expected that The Point would require an investment of $40 million, however, Torassa did not reveal the final cost of the construction, but he said that a building ends up costing between 5% and 6% more than the estimated.
