Three suspects are called to the trial in Karina del Pozo case

The prosecutor Vicente Reinoso explained his determination before the Carapungo Surveillance Unit, in which he accused three of the five arrested for the murder of the model Karina del Pozo.

Reinoso asked the Twenty First Judge of Pichincha, that David Pina and Manuel Salazar be called to trial.

Besides accusing those mentioned above as suspects in the murder, he also called Jose Sevilla as a coauthor of the crime. The representative of the prosecutor refrained from accusing Cecilia Rivera and Nicolas Leon, saying that they did not participate in the event, despite contradictions that arose in their statements, so that the opinion will have to be consulted by a superior, in this case it would go to the Prosecutor of Pichincha, for ratification or revocation.

The autopsy revealed that Karina died after receiving several blows to the head. If the suspects are found guilty they could face a sentence of up to 25 years in prison.
