The Scandinavia poet, Tomas Tranströmer, received today the Nobel Prize of Literature at the age of 80. The poet won the award thanks to his work about the intimacy between men and the world that surround us.

The poems of Tranströmer are rich in metaphors and images that illustrate the simple scenes of life and nature. Tomas was born on Abril 15 of 1931 in Stockholm and was raised by her mother after the passing of his father.

The Publisher Weekly magazine branded him as “mystic, versatile and sad,” this comprehends the life of a poet. (AV)
